The Journey

Nick’s journey in coffee began in 2013 as a roaster, where he quickly discovered that great coffee is about far more than flavor. It is about people, places, hard work, tradition, and the incredible journey that brings a coffee bean from a farm on the other side of the world to someone’s cup. A few years later, that journey led him to open a coffeehouse, giving him the opportunity to connect with people every day through something he had grown deeply passionate about.

Over the years, Nick has traveled around the world visiting coffee farms and working alongside the people who grow and produce coffee. Some of his most meaningful experiences have come from working with tribal coffee farmers in India. Their stories, determination, traditions, and connection to the land have profoundly shaped the way Nick thinks about coffee and the responsibility that comes with being part of the coffee industry.

Nick is a CQI Professional Q Processor and an SCA Certified Professional Barista. While he values the science and craft behind exceptional coffee, he believes the heart of coffee is found in the relationships behind it - from the farmer who nurtures the crop to the person who carefully prepares the final cup.

For Nick, every cup represents a journey. And there is always another story to discover.

Through Zephyr Coffee Company, Nick is continuing a journey that started more than a decade ago: discovering remarkable coffees, honoring the people who produce them, and creating opportunities for those stories to be shared. His goal is simple, to make great coffee while making a positive difference in the lives and communities connected to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Zephyr Coffee source its beans?

We carefully source specialty-grade coffee from trusted farms and producers around the world. We prioritize quality, traceability, and long-term relationships to ensure every cup reflects the unique character of its origin.

How fresh is your coffee?

All of our coffee is roasted in small batches and shipped shortly after roasting to ensure maximum freshness and flavor.

What is air-roasted coffee?

Air roasting uses a stream of hot air to suspend and roast coffee beans evenly. This method helps prevent scorching, removes chaff during roasting, and produces a more aromatic coffee with less bitterness and acidity.

Why does air-roasted coffee taste smoother?

Because the beans never come into contact with hot roasting surfaces, fewer bitter compounds and burnt flavors are produced. The result is a cleaner, more balanced cup that lets the coffee’s natural characteristics shine.

Do you offer coffee subscriptions?

Yes. Our subscription program allows you to receive your favorite coffees on a recurring schedule, ensuring you never run out of fresh coffee.

Can I modify or cancel my subscription?

Absolutely. You can pause, skip, modify, or cancel your subscription at any time through your customer account.

How should I store my coffee?

For the freshest flavor, keep your coffee in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Store it in an airtight container and avoid refrigerating or freezing whenever possible.
